Spirit of Freedom is owned by Cairns based operators who have provided superior day and live aboard diving experiences since1986. Experience world class diving to the Coral Sea and Cod Hole on board this world class dive vessel. This 120 foot vessel was built in 1992 with a steel hull and aluminum superstructure is powered by 2 x Rolls Royce C8M 410 249.8 kw diesel engines. This vessel is fully air conditioned and manned by a crew of 10.
While the diving may be out of this world, the facilities and service on board Spirit will complete your ultimate live aboard experience. There are 2 ocean view rooms, a state room, as well as spacious double or twin share cabins, all with a private bath, and serviced daily to make a comfortable retreat at the end of your day's scuba diving. Delicious chef prepared first class meals can be enjoyed throughout the day and complimentary Australian wines are offered with dinner. The sun deck is always a popular spot in between dives, and a great location to watch the sunset on our BBQ nights.
There is a comprehensive marine library, DVD movies, 50 inch flat screen TV, and passengers are also welcome to view their own digital images or videos through the TV. There is a fully stocked bar for relaxation after diving. Nitrox fills, camera hire, and CD downloading are also available on board. The dive deck is supplied with 2 Bauer 21CFM compressors, Nitrox through a DNAx system is available for certified divers, individual scuba gear is available including Uwatec Dive Computers/Oceanic Nitrox Computer, also 2 4.8m Naiad Tender Boats.
A multi-talented and professional crew will look after your in and out of water needs onboard Spirit of Freedom. The dive team are experienced locals who are only too happy to share their extensive reef knowledge as well as a little 'Aussie' good humor. As a guest on board Spirit of Freedom you may dive with your buddy to your pace and interests with no set limits on time, depth or style of diving outside of normal safe diving practices. An orientation dive is offered on the first dive, and a safety instructor will be in the water on most dives. Guided dives will be offered on one or two dives each day.
