The Reef Playacar, All Inclusive Resort, Playa del Carmen – promises guests a cozy ambience, attention to detail, and most importantly, a sense of individuality in a place where “you are a name, not a number”.
The resort offers 210 comfortable rooms in 18 three-story villas separated by winding paths and surrounded by tropical gardens.
Rooms feature Mexican-Caribbean décor with marble floors, marble bathrooms and bright colors. Rooms featuring either one king size bed or two double beds, furnished balcony or terrace and a full bathroom with bathtub and shower.
The majority of meals and beverages, plus all gratuities, at the restaurants, snack bar, and bars are included in the room rate.
Daily entertainment activities are coordinated by the multilingual entertainment staff with a complete all day program for adults, an awesome nightly spectacular and a special Kids Club for children from 4 to 12 years old with nightly mini disco.
Discover Scuba sessions are available at an additional cost for those people who have never done scuba diving before.
1 or 2 tank reef diving is also available by boat from the hotel’s beach, to go to the nicest reefs of the Riviera Maya in small groups of certified divers along with a professional PADI Instructor.
Packages include all basic dive gear, drinking water, soft drinks, and private boat transfers to the reef and back to the hotel.
You can also enjoy diving in the ancient Mayan cenotes located in the jungle, including stalactite and stalagmite formations. The maximum depth is 50 ft (16mts), excellent visibility, no undercurrent, and temperatures of 72 F (24 C). The trip includes dive gear, transportation with air-conditioning, refreshments and professional guidance.
Snorkelling, fishing, sailing, wave running, parasailing and swimming with dolphin trips are also available.
Wedding Packages and Honeymoon Events can also be arranged.
ONSITE WATERSPORTS:
Your Reef stay includes unlimited access to non-motorized watersports and watercraft, including sea kayaks, sailboats and stand-up paddleboards at their sister resorts in Playacar and Coco Beach. Sailboats are available at The Reef Playacar only.
Take a scuba demo in the pool or grab their snorkeling gear for a look at the sea life just below the surface. This is available at their sister resorts in Playacar and Coco Beach.
THE REEF MARINA DIVING AND WATER SPORTS CENTER
The Reef Marina diving and water sports center are located in the main hotel zones of Playa del Carmen: Playacar, in The Reef Playacar Resort & Spa hotel and Coco Beach, in The Reef Coco Beach Resort & Spa hotel. Easily accessible through the hotel or the beach, The Reef Marina has the infrastructure to welcome you all year long (changing rooms, showers, toilets, swimming pool, classroom, local material, rinsing tank, etc.)
In 2013, the center became part of the largest, most widely recognized scuba training organization in the world, PADI. As a PADI 5 Star Dive Resort, they guarantee the professionalism, reliability and security needed in diving. To provide a comprehensive service, The Reef Marina also has a water sports base with Waverunner, Catamaran, Kayak, and more, so you can spend unforgettable moments with your family.
Diving and activities available include Playa Del Carmen reefs, cavern diving in the cenotes, and Cozumel day trips, including snorkeling with whale sharks.
