Set in the aquatic sanctuary of the Admiral Cockburn National Park on a pristine mile-long beach, all rooms at East Bay Resort feature breathtaking views of the beach, ocean, and the surrounding natural landscape. Below water, South Caicos has a diverse ecosystem from the shallow Turks and Caicos bank to the deep walls just offshore. Divers will often find Spotted Eagle Rays, Reef Sharks, and schools of fish populating the reefs and walls with many dive sites only recently discovered. Above water, flamingos flock to the centuries-old salinas where generations of Islanders harvested salt and wild donkeys still roam the island.

In addition to world-class diving, there is a wide range of activities and excursions on offer – from a picnic on your own private beach, to a kayak safari through the mangroves to the exploration of uninhabited Long Cay where you can observe iguanas in a protected preserve and hike to a bluff with spectacular views of the turquoise waters. If you are seeking something a little more relaxed, a massage at Ayur Spa is the perfect activity for you.

When you’ve worked up an appetite, BLU Bar & Grill will deliver delicious cuisine created by their award-winning chef and his team.

Room Details:

There are five room categories varying from 592 sq ft studio-style suites to 1280 sq ft 2 bedroom suites. All suites feature contemporary décor and air conditioning to provide you with a cool sanctuary. Cable TV, complimentary Wi-Fi, a fully-equipped kitchen, spacious balcony or patio, a washer and dryer, and marble top bathroom vanities are just a few of the modern and convenient amenities you can anticipate in your suite.

Diving:

With warm turquoise waters, moderate currents, and visibility to over 100 feet, South Caicos offers some of the most unspoiled, well-preserved, and isolated diving in the world.

Featuring South Caicos’ only on-site PADI dive shop, there are over 20 dive sites within a 15-minute boat ride away from the beach, with more incredible sites being charted each month.

The Caicos Banks, a network of underwater plateaus, support many of these dive sites. Ranging over 1700 square miles, the banks are surrounded by a vibrant barrier reef system with thousands of species of Caribbean sea life. The banks eventually drop off to what is commonly referred to as the South Caicos Wall, plunging from 35 to over 7,000 feet to the depths of the sea! Some other popular dive sites include the East Bay Spur and the Arch, located less than a mile from our front door!

East Bay can also provide all PADI courses and certifications. Whether you’re brand new or a seasoned expert, there is a tour for everyone.

Dining:

East Bay Resort’s culinary vision is a blend of simplicity and sophistication. BLU Bar & Grill features an internationally inspired menu incorporating island flavors. The restaurant is open daily for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. What better way to start the day than with a full breakfast overlooking the ocean – especially when breakfast is always included in our rates! At night, the talented culinary team presents dishes prepared with freshly caught seafood from the island’s local waters and the finest cuts of meat.

You can also enjoy a casual lunch, light snacks, and tropical cocktails at Splash, the swim-up pool bar. Splash was named after an ancient mermaid that was sighted by pirates who visited South Caicos centuries ago.

Enjoy libations at Admiral Cockburn’s lounge, which is also located on the main level of the resort and presents equally impressive views.
