All West Apartments and Go West Diving are located in Westpunt at the far west end of the island. Picture yourself in the most wonderful part of our island. You can dream your time away along the shore and share fun time in the sun with friends and loved ones. Surrounded by the tropical hills, you can watch spectacular sunsets and gaze at the fantastic star filled skies. Here nature lovers can indulge in the Christoffel National Park and Shete Boka National Park. In these parks you will find plenty to see and do during your stay.
The beach below the apartments is perfect for swimming, snorkeling and of course, diving. All West apartments offer a quiet, familiar atmosphere and diving is available 24/7 right in front of the apartments.
The dive shop, Go West Diving, offers daily boat trips to sites which are hard to get to or impossible to reach from shore but there are plenty of places to shore dive as well. Curaçao’s most well-known dive site, Mushroom Forest, is on the schedule at least twice per week. The most northern dive site, Watamula, is only 5 minutes away by boat and offers spectacular healthy formations of hard corals, a soft coral-garden, and a large variety of marine life.
The island of Curaçao offers about 70 dive sites, about half which you can dive from land. All shore dive sites are easy to find since the spots are marked along the roads of Curacao – just follow the signs and find another great dive site! Almost all shore diving spots are really easy going – even if you just got certified you can take a dive with your buddy – you can’t get lost. Specifically in the west, all shore dive spots are calm and there is hardly any current.
Shore diving allows you a complete independent schedule – just grab some tanks and your gear and start driving along the coastline of Curaçao. When you see a sign of a dive site just follow it – if you don’t like it you keep on following the road and maybe follow the sign to the next dive site!
